A KPI tree (also called a metrics tree or driver tree) is a hierarchical visualization that breaks a top-level business metric into its component drivers using mathematical relationships. Each branch shows how child metrics combine (through addition, multiplication, or ratio) to produce the parent metric. KPI trees enable root cause analysis by providing a structured path from any metric change back to its source driver.
